Invisalign is a system that uses clear custom made aligners to help straighten your teeth slowly, in stages without the use of traditional braces. The aligners are virtually invisible making the process look as natural as possible. Because they are removable, it is easier to eat and drink normally as well as clean, brush and floss without braces getting in the way, thus keeping your teeth and gums healthier. There are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions.

What is Invisalign ?
How Does Invisalign Work ?
Invisalign will provide a series of clear aligners which one wears for a period of 10 days to two weeks at a time for each set of aligners. Each set of aligners will move your teeth gradually, as little as 2 mm, to eventually straighten your teeth. A complete treatment plan usually has between 18-30 sets of aligners and takes about 6 - 18 months to complete depending on the complexity of the movement required. The aligners are worn for about 22 hours each day, but can be easily removed for eating, drinking and cleaning of the teeth. Your orthodontist works closely with Invisalign using high-tech computer imaging and simulation to design the ideal treatment plan for you. Dr. Tang can share the treatment plan with you via 3D Computer Digitized Imaging to show you every step along the process. Doctor visits are every 2-3 months to monitor progress of the treatment plan.
